Pure Linen, Cotton & Silk Blends

Peregian's signature is the use of pure linen, fine cottons and silk-cotton blends........
Why Linen?	First and foremost it is beautiful, lustrous and luxurious to wear against the skin.

Characteristics:
	natural fibre made from flax, a plant which some consider has healing properties (flax seed etc)
	natural resister of dirt so it washes up well
	less water intensive than cotton to grow and less energy intensive to process
	good conductor of heat and highly absorbant, quickly wicking perspiration away from the skin thus making garments cool to wear
	fluidity, it billows as you move, encouraging circulation of air, creating a cooling effect
	2-3 times the strength of cotton & it is stronger when wet so linen launders well
	improves with washing, becoming softer and smoother over time. Linen tablecloths have been handed down generation to generation
	due to its durability and strength, linen is the preferred support for artists' paintings
	linen does crush, but what makes you feel more "beachy" than those lovely crisp creases - at least then people know you are wearing linen!

Care advice:	To minimise creasing and/or make ironing easier, flick the garment out when wet and hang to dry, this is often adequate for a trip to the beach or park. For a crisp look, iron when damp.
