This season we are still focusing on our signature: gorgeous, sun protective children's garments but with more variety in styles and colours.

Early Summer 2010 we are releasing several new stories that include wrap dresses, kaftans, smocks and lovely cool harem pants.  Our colour palates include for the girls:

• crisp white, red and nivea blue in peasant tops and kaftan dresses
• ice aqua, navy and white in wrap dresses with lace sleeve detail and loose smocks
• striking watermelon with ice peach and ivory in kaftans, tunics, dresses and harem pants

We are also releasing our new UV 50+ protective shirts for boys and girls in response to many customer requests.  These shirts are perfect for any occassion and have been designed to be fashionable whilst also being perfect for the beach or outdoors.

Our kids resortwear continues to be made in Australia from luxury fabrics such as pure linen and fine cotton voiles and sateens.  Keep watching for our new range.

Peregian kids go effortlessly beach to brunch!

The concept for the label arose when my daughter was born and I found there was nothing available on the market for babies and kids that was attractive, cool and comfortable to wear whilst also keeping the sun off.  Our label is called "beachwear", but even whilst in the pram or at the park children are exposed to excessive levels of UV radiation that is damaging to their young skin.  In fact babies under 6 months should never be exposed to direct sunlight more than momentarily.

My focus has been the design of tops and pants that provide good skin coverage so in our range you will see:

• high necklines
• hoods
• long sleeves
• long pants
• broad brimmed hats - coming soon!

Without compromising on fashion!   In fact we do dresses too, but always with coordinating kaftans and beach shirts/tunics that can be slipped on when going outdoors.

I have always had a passion for fine fabrics in natural fibres and classic cut and design.  We only use what I consider to be high quality, luxury fabrics and materials so our signature is pure linen and cotton voile - and sometimes even cotton/silk blends. 

Peregian garments have been tested by my own children and others in my mothers group over the past 2 years for fit, function and wear, and refined from their feedback so I am confident others will find them to be of excellent quality.
